Personalized Fitness

SportFit Nevada is a premier Private Training and Sports Performance Center located in Carson City. With over two decades of experience, we have the tools and knowledge to accommodate any person at any fitness level, from entry-level to elite Olympian. Weight loss, longevity, injury prevention, post-therapy, athletic scholarships, and weekend warriors are just a few of our specialties.

We have carefully selected our equipment and flooring for optimal performance, functionality, and injury prevention! SportFit Nevada has 1” suspended rubber flooring for our half racks and barbell exercises. We installed the thickest turf on the market for our reactive training and movement drills. We provide soft boxes for our box jumps to be performed without fear of hurting lower legs and shins. Next, we utilize VersaClimbers for sprinting and over all conditioning: The machine everyone loves to hate.

Keiser fitness is also one of our staples. Using pneumatic resistance, we can safely execute explosive, fluid movements performed in life or competition. Keiser products are used by nearly all professional teams, physical therapists, and by our military and special forces. Keiser is some of the best equipment out there! Our other staple is our unique treadmills or the Assault AirRunners. On a regular treadmill the belt is powered by the machine, and you select the speed. On our treadmills, the athlete is the motor which drives a heavy belt; this further develops glute and hamstring strength.

Our Sports Performance Training Program is not just sport specific, it is position specific within the sport. Each role within the sport requires different demands from the athlete. For instance, in soccer, a goalie demands are explosive, while a mid fielder can sprint/jog 3 miles in one game. Thus, we train for the athletic demand, not just the sport.

Our programs all begin with a base of stability, the ability to control force. When swinging a bat or a club, you are only able to swing it as fast as you can slow it down. By spending the majority of time in the eccentric contraction of the muscle, you are programming the body to better control the forces internally and externally. Improving injury prevention as well as increasing performance. From there we progress to build muscle endurance, hypertrophy, strength and then power while always keeping your goal in mind.
